This car was first registered 10/02/91 by the Queen's Equerry at Buckingham Palace. It is a 416GTi automatic (Honda Twin Cam Engine). I have owned it from 29/10/91 when it had done 7,104 miles. It's still in exceptional condition, has done 80,000 miles but still drives as it did the day I got it.
It has been serviced according to the manufacturers recommendations for the life of the car. The only problem was that I ran out of space in the service book even after the inside of the back page was filled up.
I have had only three problems:
1) last year a water pump leaked and I had it replaced.
2) For the last two years I had a persistent problem in that once the car was hot the revs dropped and stalled on engaging gear; and then it would not fire up until I let it rest for approximately 10 minutes. This was put right by changing the leads and the ignition module.
3) Twice the tyres have been changed because they had perished before they wore out.
